Athens
is a big city and Plaka has a lot of little streets. The same
goes for the maze of little streets in Anafiotika and in many
more areas in Athens. A good map is essential when you visit
Athens and when we say a good map, we mean a good
map.
“What
is a good map?”, you will ask. Well, the answer is not
real simple and it took us quite some time to find the best
map there is for Athens, but we did.
Borch GmbH has a map of the city center of Athens on a scale
1:7500. This scale has the advantage most of the bigger city
center is on the map without it being too big. You don’t
want to drag an atlas along with you when walking in Athens,
do you?
What
else makes this map so special?

lines for each station (if
any).
• All points of interest are listed as well as marked

• Another table shows average daily minimum and maximum
temperature in Celsius
over a year, the sea temperature, hours of sunshine and
the precipitation in mm.
• The map is multi-lingual: English, German, French, Italian
and Spanish.
• The map is strong, it is light and it doesn’t
cost you an arm and a leg.
